About my yoga journey

I grew up in the suburbs of Budapest, Hungary with two siblings. As a young athlete, I competed internationally in Judo for a decade. Despite my successes, the demanding nature of competitive training eventually made me step away from the sport and with that, I felt like I was losing the joyful energy I had known as a child.

As a teenager, I have done much searching to find my childhood happiness, but partying, travelling, engaging in arts did not seem to satisfy my desire. Having moved to a small Scottish town for university, where sheep outnumbered people, I longed to know more about life.

It was during my university years in Scotland, studying BSc in Psyhcology that I discovered Sadhguru, and my life began to shift. His discourse on yoga made me want to experience it for myself. While still in university, I travelled to South India to the Isha Yoga Center to learn Classical Hatha Yoga.

What I experienced during Yoga Asanas was something completely new and phenomenal. I could not believe that I had previously lived my life without it. As Hatha Yoga and a yogic diet became part of my life and daily routine, being energetic, joyful and healthy became my natural state again, similarly to what I experienced in my childhood.

To share the joy and magic of authentic Hatha Yoga with others, I enrolled in the rigorous 1750-hour Classical Hatha Yoga Teacher Training (HYTT) designed by Sadhguru. In July 2024, as I stepped through the serpent gate of the Isha Yoga Center, the most intense 6 months of my life began.

I completed the Classical Hatha Yoga Teacher Training (HYTT) designed by Sadhguru

The HYTT offered by Sadhguru Gurukulam is an onsite training at the Isha Yoga Center in South India. Designed by Sadhguru, the training aims to “bring back dimensions of Hatha Yoga that are almost extinct”.
Trainees undergo 1750 hours of training in 21 weeks, practicing 7- 8 hours of Hatha Yoga daily.

The curriculum is not only about practices but ensures the trainees absorb the yogic way of life. Besides Hatha Yoga, part of the curriculum is basics in Ayurveda, Siddha, Yogic and Allopathic Anatomy and Physiology, experiential learning about diet and its influence on physical and spiritual development. In this program, Hatha Yoga is taught as a living experience under the guidance of a living Master: Sadhguru.
